24-bit DAC
Noise generated by conventional DAC IC’s are distributed randomly throughout the spectrum, including the audible range. To circumvent this, Clarion adopts a high-performance 24-bit DAC normally only found in expensive home audio systems. Not only does it cancel out unwanted noise well into the non-audible high frequency range, but it also extends the S/N ratio for clearer, more realistic sound.

6ch RCA Output
For system expansion beyond the built-in 4-channel amplifier, the VRX486VD includes three sets of RCA line-level outputs to add external power amplifiers for more dynamic sound from your speakers. An adjustable non-fade output controls the level of your subwoofer amplifier to blend your subwoofers with the rest of your system for overall sonic balance.
